    Prior learning required?

There are no specific prior learning requirements and no assumption that any particular historical knowledge has already been gained, although the Year 9 course builds on topics and skills that have been developed in the Year 7 and Year 8 courses.  There are no final examinations and no formal assessment at KS3 level.
