The Oxford Open Learning Trust - A Not For Profit Organisation

What is a Not For Profit Organisation?

“Not for profit organisation” is a broad term for all independent organisations whose purpose is something other than to make private profit for directors, members or shareholders. Many different types of organisations can be “not for profit”.

What does this mean for you?

When we make decisions we still have to take all the costs of the delivery of our service into account. However, it means that;

  • When we make those decisions we are making them for the good of the student body as a whole,
  • That we are always aiming to provide the best service we can for the amount you pay,
  • Any profit that is made is kept in the trust and continually used to improve our service.
